The American Dream

At a recent networking event, I met a new member who had just moved to the United States after getting married. She proudly shared that she was originally from Canada and excited to build a new life here. Instead of being welcomed, a couple of attendees responded with a dismissive, almost disdainful, “Why?”—and their expressions said even more.

That moment struck a chord with me.

As someone who has served this country and built a business rooted in faith, discipline, and belief in the American Dream, I couldn’t help but feel disappointed. We are blessed to call the United States our home. This nation, unlike any other, is built on courage, resilience, and the promise that no matter where you start, you can create a future filled with purpose and prosperity.
